    1. HNY! I just started my membership and look forward to learning from you. Thank you for your incredible content, quality and well covered topics.

  1. Omg that Athenian Owl is just gorgeous! If your wife is into it, mene has a pendant of that Athenian Owl in platinum and gold…..just saying. V day is coming! 😉 ☺️

  2. I bought a teeny-TINY amount of gold and a handful of silver right near their spot bottoms over the summer (better lucky than good), but, for me, as I said for nearly the ENTIRETY of the year, the premiums sucked the fun out of the low spot prices. I opted for significant positions in GDX, GDXJ, SLVP, and then a variety of increasingly sketchy individual miners starting with notables Barrick (GOLD) and Newmont (NEM), then working my way down to sketch-tacular juniors like Equinox (EQX), Dakota Gold (DC), Fabled Gold & Silver (FBSGF), and Golden Minerals (AUMN).

… naturally, the size of my positions in anything under $10/shr decreases with how close it gets to zero with some of those sub-$1 ones being about as much as I’d risk betting on next Sunday’s game.

You, on the other hand, brought in some seriously impressive specimens. I positively adore the high-relief tiger. My god, that’s a beautiful coin!

    Thanks for the 2022 wrap-up! 😶👍

  3. Hey those coins with the tiger rabbit ect that you said don’t sell well, those are the coins to get. Most collector items are either mistakes, or rare items, rare items are modern unpopular items. But considering they have a face value, not sure if people who end up not liking them melt them down and make them more rare, maybe coins are different, but normally unpopular items with a popular niche goes onto becoming collectable. Like the guy who graded the regular coin you have, people value the popular items but in reality it’s the unpopular ones with future collectibility. If those unpopular ones weren’t coins with face value I’m sure people would just throw them away over time, and in 50 years there would be almost none of them, then all of the sudden everyone will think it’s the best looking coin on earth. But I don’t think people melt those so it may never be popular who knows. And yah that tiger is insane population 188, man this sounds weird but if I was into collectable gold I’d try to slow buy all the tigers. You could control the market after a while haha. There was a collectable niche I was into like 4 years ago and a guy owned almost all the items of one part of a small set. I had to pay insane amount to get the complete set. I was missing one item for a complete perfectly graded set for years. This one guy was the only one who had them. He charged a lot more than it’s worth and it was already extremely expensive to begin with. Gold collectable doesn’t really excite me but I can see why People like it. I just stack gold maples each month depending on how much money I make per month I get 2-3 coins. If I was American I’d buy the eagles or buffalo. I don’t care too much about the designs I just like gold but the designs are cool I like yours a lot. Especially the tiger. Why I don’t want to get into gold collectable is because I don’t want to become emotionally attached to gold. I will sell all my gold and start again if a good opportunity presents itself to me, if I had a bunch of cool coins like the tiger I may pass up opportunity because I’m too emotionally connected to sell. Still I only invest a small portion of money in gold, but sometimes in the past I had to sell gold still to make an investment in other things. I knew a guy who was emotionally attached in his stocks he only bought one company, it did go up like 10x and he said he’s rich. He thought he would be a billionaire, and I told him you aren’t rich even if the price goes up more, because you’ll never sell it. And it did go down. It’s this Drone company. Being emotionally attached to wealth items can hurt people sometimes.

    1. Yeah, you make a lot of great points. 188 is a crazy population, and I’m tempted to go wild on future versions. You’re also right on the emotional attachment. For me, if I have more than one, I can get around it. (I’ll keep one.) Cheers!
