Stewardship Saturday, January 21: Tree Pruning at the Apple Orchard
Join Weston Conservation staff and WFTA volunteers for the annual Concord Road Orchard Pruning on Saturday, January 21 from 10 am to 12 pm. The morning will start off with a quick tutorial on basic pruning techniques and then set to work. Tasks will include pruning, brush dragging, and invasive buckthorn removal on the edges of the Orchard.
Early birds will get VIP parking access rarely offered to mere mortals. Conservation staff will open up the gate to pull cars safely off Concord Road; additional parking will be along the shoulder of Concord Rd. MAP.
The Concord Road Orchard is a public orchard on Conservation Land and apple picking is open and free to all in the fall every year so let’s make our little trees happy.
